Business Analysis, an art of handling the change in an enterprise
Any successful implementation of a CHANGE needs proper understanding of it and handling it well in an enterprise to enable it for better benefits. The role of a business analyst is very crucial in enabling the change and hence the business analysts are called the CHANGE ENABLERS.
The activities of a Business Analyst actually ranges from understanding the change as a whole to implement the needed best solution by doing proper evaluation of the proposed solution(s). Ideally, the work of a business analyst starts much before the initiation of a project for the change and continues beyond the project life cycle even after implementing a solution. The business analyst is expected to contribute till the expected value of the solution is realized.
Identifying the stakeholders and understanding their needs & expectations including their concerns are the primary responsibilities of a Business Analyst. It is more important to elicit exact information rather than just collecting the stakeholders’ inputs. Effective and Efficient collaboration always needed to perform the various business analysis activities for successful implementation of a solution.
Recommending and following a suitable method or approach for conducting the business analysis activities, choosing the best techniques & tools for elicitation and collaboration with various stakeholders, managing the requirements and its life cycle, defining a strategy for implementing the change and identifying suitable designs and models for a preferred solution & evaluating the value/benefits of it are set of activities performed by the Business Analyst during any initiative.
