Courses for Business Analyst

Business Analysts are playing the key role in any business environment and work towards achieving the goals and objectives of an enterprise or enabling change in an efficient way to leverage opportunities.

There are some global bodies provide the certification courses for Business Analyst. IIBA® is one among them and they provide the following certifications.

ECBA™ – Entry Certificate in Business Analysis ™

ECBA™ recognizes individuals ready to develop their business analysis skills, knowledge and behaviours as practicing business analysis professionals.

ECBA covers the foundational knowledge on business analysis according to the BABOK® Guide and showcases that you have the core knowledge and competencies for the in–demand field of business analysis. Highlight you have the knowledge and be certified by the leading authority in business analysis, IIBA.

Eligibility  : The aspirants are required to complete a minimum of 21 Professional Development (PD) hours

CCBA® – Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™

CCBA® recognizes skilled BA professionals who have two to three years of practical business analysis work experience.

Eligibility and Application process :

  • Complete a minimum of 3,750 hours of Business Analysis work experience in the last 7 years.
  • Within these 3750 minimum hours required, a minimum of 900 hours must be completed in each of 2 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas OR, a minimum of 500 hours must be completed in each of 4 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas.
  • Complete a minimum of 21 hours of Professional Development within the last 4 years.
  • Provide references.

The CCBA certificate is for:

  • Individuals with an ECBA™ designation
  • Product Managers
  • Non-BA consultants
  • Trainers
  • Hybrid Business Analysis professionals, including: Project Manager, Testers, Quality Assurance (QA) professionals, Change/Transformation Managers, and Designers

CBAP® – Certified Business Analysis Professional

CBAP® recognizes seasoned BA professionals who have over five years of practical business analysis work experience.

Eligibility and Application process :

  • Complete a minimum of 7,500 hours of Business Analysis Work experience in the last 10 years.
  • Within this experience, a minimum of 900 hours completed in 4 of the 6 BABOK® Guide Knowledge Areas, for a total of at least 3,600 of the required 7,500 total.
  • Complete a minimum of 35 hours of Professional Development in the last 4 years.
  • Provide two references.

The CBAP certification is for:

  • Individuals with significant experience in business analysis
  • Product Managers
  • Non-BA consultants
  • Trainers
  • Hybrid Business Analysis professionals, including: Project Manager, Testers, Quality Assurance (QA) professionals, Change/Transformation Managers, and Designers
